Puberty is a confusing and awkward time for all teenagers. It's very natural for you to feel weird. Just remember, it's normal and everyone goes through it! Whatever we call this time of change, the more we know about what's happening to us, the better we can feel about growing up - and enjoy the experience!

Here are some of the changes that happen in both boys and girls.

	You start becoming taller and start putting on weight - great way to get some new clothes!
	Grow more hair under your arms, and other parts of the body - and no, you're not going to start resembling an orangutan!
	Your voice goes a bit funny (cracks), so much so you begin to sound different - so don't blame someone for not recognizing you on the phone! (This usually happens more suddenly in boys than in girls)
	Those dreaded pimples begin to make an appearance - some only get a few. Some get a lot.

Along with the many physical changes your body will go through, you will also feel different. These feelings are actually emotional changes, which happen as a result of all the physical changes your body is going through. All adolescents go through these, so remember, you are not alone!

	At times you will feel moody and blue!
	You will suddenly feel conscious of how you look and what other people think about you.
	You'll feel awkward or embarrassed, at the smallest of incidents.
	Sexual attraction and arousal will come very easily.
	Sexual curiosity and big time crushes!
	You will become more emotional and react to situations more intensely.
	You suddenly think you know it all and your parents know nothing!
